Sec. 60. Upon request of the commission acting under the authority of section 26(g) of this act, 1 the governor may apply under section 1201 of the federal social security act 2 to the secretary of labor of the United States for an advance to the unemployment compensation fund of this state; and, upon request of the commission, the governor shall request, under section 1202(a) of the social security act, 3 a transfer from the account of the state of Michigan in the federal unemployment trust fund to the federal unemployment account in said trust fund in repayment of part or all of any remaining balance of such advances to the unemployment compensation fund of this state.
