Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 41. Townships § 41.289d

Sec. 19d. A district that has been lighting its streets or highways under this act may be relieved of this duty by action of the township board or boards on their own motion or by a petition to the township board or boards as provided in section 19b.  1
