Sec. 3. The department shall establish 1 or more juvenile boot camps to house and train juveniles who are ordered to participate in a juvenile boot camp program under section 18 of chapter XIIA of 1939 PA 288, MCL 712A.18, or who are placed in a juvenile boot camp program after commitment under that section to a county juvenile agency for placement in a juvenile boot camp program. To implement this section, the department may use the authority granted under sections 115a(1)(f) and 117a(4) of the social welfare act, 1939 PA 280, MCL 400.115a and 400.117a, as appropriate.
