Sec. 14. (1) An election for or recall of board members and an election for a districtwide tax shall be conducted under the provisions of the Michigan election law, 1954 PA 116, MCL 168.1 to 168.992, and applicable provisions of the revised school code, 1976 PA 451, MCL 380.1 to 380.1852, except to the extent that those provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of this act.
(2) If none of the participating municipalities are school districts, an election for a districtwide tax is governed by sections 15 to 18 1 and section 23. 2 If 1 or more of the participating municipalities are school districts, an election for a districtwide tax is governed by section 15 and sections 19 to 23. 3
(3) If none of the participating municipalities are school districts, an election for district library board members is governed by sections 16 to 18 4 and section 23. If 1 or more of the participating municipalities are school districts, an election for district library board members is governed by sections 19 to 23.
