Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 388. Schools and School Aid § 388.1665

Sec. 65.  (1) From the state school aid pupil support reserve fund money appropriated in section 11,  1 there is allocated an amount not to exceed $900,000.00 for 2025-2026 only for a pre-college engineering K to 12 educational program that is focused on the development of a diverse future Michigan workforce, that serves multiple communities within southeast Michigan, that enrolls pupils from multiple districts, and that received funds appropriated for this purpose in the appropriations act that provided the Michigan strategic fund budget for 2014-2015.  It is the intent of the legislature that the appropriation under this section will be funded with state school aid pupil support reserve fund money through 2027-2028.

(2) To be eligible for funding under this section, a program must have the ability to expose pupils to, and motivate and prepare pupils for, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics careers and postsecondary education with special attention given to groups of pupils who are at-risk and underrepresented in technical professions and careers.
