Sec. 20952. (1) The department may grant a nonrenewable temporary license to an individual who has made proper application with the required fee for licensure as a medical first responder, emergency medical technician, emergency medical technician specialist, or paramedic and who has successfully completed all of the requirements for licensure except for the examinations described in section 20950. 1 A temporary license is valid for 1 year from the date of an accepted application.
(2) An individual holding a temporary license under this section shall practice only under direct supervision as provided under section 20952a. 2
