Sec. 706a. (1) The department shall prepare and distribute to each community mental health services program copies of a pamphlet containing information regarding resources available to individuals with serious mental illness and their families. The information shall include a description of advocacy and support groups, and other information of interest to recipients and their families. The pamphlet shall include the name, address, and telephone number of the organization designated by the governor under section 931 1 to provide protection and advocacy for individuals with developmental disability or mental illness.
(2) A community mental health services program shall distribute the pamphlet described in subsection (1) to each recipient receiving services through the community mental health services program and, if applicable, to the recipient's guardian or the parent of a minor recipient.
