Sec. 41504. Public shooting grounds described in this subpart are under the control of the department. The department may make, publish, and enforce reasonable rules and regulations for the care and preservation of the shooting grounds, for the maintenance of good order, and for the protection of property as from time to time are necessary or expedient. If the department makes any rules or regulations pertaining to the management or welfare of the shooting grounds, the department may enforce the rules or regulations and cause a person violating any rule or regulation to be punished for that violation in the manner set forth in this subpart. All rules and regulations made by the department under the authority of this subpart or any other part or act shall be effective within the whole territory referred to in this subpart. A person who violates this subpart or any of the rules and regulations prescribed by the department is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by imprisonment for not less than 10 days or more than 60 days, or a fine of not more than $50.00, or both.
