Sec. 1. The military board of the state of Michigan is hereby authorized and empowered to accept from the owner or owners thereof, for and in behalf of the state of Michigan, all those certain pieces or parcels of lands situated in Crawford county in this state, described in section 2 of this act, 1 by deed of gift, in fee simple, free from lien of taxes or other encumbrances, upon the conditions and for the purposes prescribed in section 3 hereof. 2
