Compiled Laws, Chapter 28. Michigan State Police § 28.253

Sec. 3. Any governmental police agency, not falling within the description of those required to submit the monthly uniform crime report set forth in section 1,  1 which desires to submit such a report, shall be furnished with the proper forms by the department of state police. When a report is received by the department of state police from a governmental police agency not required to make such report, the information contained therein shall be included within the monthly compilation provided for in section 2.  2
