Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 257. Motor Vehicles § 257.1334a

Sec. 34a. Unless otherwise requested by the customer, the requirement to furnish a written estimate under section 32  1 does not apply to repair work performed by a motor vehicle repair facility if the total cost for services and parts is less than $50.00. This section does not apply to or limit a facility's obligation to furnish to the customer a written statement under section 34  2 that includes the actual cost of repairs.
