Sec. 694.Sections 691, 692, 693, and 695 1 apply to all city, village, and township elections held in this state under this act, except that the notice required to be given by a candidate shall, in case of a city, village, or township office, be given by him or her to the proper city or township board of election commissioners within 2 days after his or her name is certified as nominated by 2 or more political parties for the same office.
