Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 125. Planning, Housing and Zoning § 125.3835

Sec. 35. A planning commission may, by a majority vote of the members, adopt a subplan for a geographic area less than the entire planning jurisdiction, if, because of the unique physical characteristics of that area, more intensive planning is necessary for the purposes set forth in section 7.  1
