Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 125. Planning, Housing and Zoning § 125.2456

Sec. 6. (1) Not more than 30 days after the hearing provided for in section 5,  1 the department shall approve or disapprove the establishment of the proposed authority. The department shall approve the establishment of the authority if all of the following requirements are met:

(2) Immediately upon approval or disapproval of the establishment of the proposed authority, the department shall mail a statement of approval or a statement of disapproval by certified mail to the township board of each township within which all or part of the proposed authority district is located, the county board of commissioners of the county within which the proposed authority district is located, and the person that filed the petition. A statement of approval shall be dated and shall set forth the name of the person who filed the petition under section 4,  2 the name of the proposed authority, and the boundaries of the proposed authority district as set forth in the petition. A statement of disapproval shall be dated and shall set forth the reasons for disapproval.
