The governing bodies of the sending units and receiving school shall establish a contract.
1. Specific provisions. The contract:
A. Shall specify the duration of the contract from 2 to 10 years;
B. May include the establishment of a joint committee if the receiving school is a private school;
C. Shall include other provisions parties deem necessary;
D. Must be ratified by a majority vote of each of the governing bodies party to the contract; and
E. Must meet any additional requirements set forth in rules established by the commissioner and must be filed with the commissioner. Contracts with private schools must be approved by the commissioner.
2. Tuition. Tuition shall be determined under chapter 219. 1
