Louisiana Revised Statutes Tit. 41, § 1225. Oyster leases; grants of; ratification of existing leases

A. Notwithstanding any provisions of law to the contrary, and specifically notwithstanding the provisions of this Chapter, Title 30 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, and Title 31 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is authorized to grant leases on state-owned waterbottoms for oyster cultivation, bedding, and harvesting, and matters relating thereto, as provided in Subpart D of Part VII of Chapter 1 of Title 56 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.  1

B. All leases on state-owned waterbottoms granted by the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, pursuant to the provisions of Subpart D of Part VII of Chapter 1 of Title 56 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, and presently within the original term or any extensions thereof, are ratified and continued in force under the original terms and conditions, and any extensions thereof.
