Louisiana Revised Statutes Tit. 40, § 2175.2. Purpose

The purpose of this Part is to authorize the Louisiana Department of Health to promulgate and publish rules and regulations to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of women in outpatient abortion facilities and for the safe operation of such facilities. The rules shall be reasonably related to the purpose expressed in this Section and shall not impose a legally significant burden on a woman's freedom to decide whether to terminate her pregnancy, except when the provisions of R.S. 40:1061.1 apply.
