A. The secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health, through the Children's Special Health Services program in the office of public health established pursuant to R.S. 40:1071 et seq., shall make available and provide services and assistance to individuals with cystic fibrosis who are twenty-one years of age or older under the same terms, conditions, requirements, and criteria as are applied under the program to persons with cystic fibrosis under twenty-one years of age, to the extent that funds are appropriated by the legislature for the purpose of providing such services.
B. The secretary is authorized to promulgate such rules and regulations as are necessary and appropriate to carry out the provisions of this Part.
