Louisiana Revised Statutes Tit. 38, § 1845. Incurring indebtedness; issuance of bonds

All consolidated gravity drainage districts shall be subdivisions of the state. The districts may, through their governing authorities incur debt and issue negotiable interest bearing coupon bonds for the purpose of constructing gravity drainage works of the consolidated drainage districts, title to which shall be in the public. The indebtedness shall be incurred and bonds issued under the authority of and in the manner provided for in Title 39, Sub-title II, Chapter 4.  1
