A. The position of executive director of the board is hereby created. The executive director shall be appointed by the board with consent of the governor and shall serve as the chief administrator of the board. He shall not be a member of the board but shall be a full-time unclassified employee of the board who shall be paid compensation in an amount to be determined by the board which shall not exceed ninety thousand dollars annually. The office, equipment, and furnishings of the board and the executive director shall be initially furnished by the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
B. The executive director shall perform such duties as may be prescribed by the board. He shall have no financial or business interests, contingent dealings or otherwise, in the private investigator industry while so employed or for a period of two years after termination of employment.
