Words and phrases defined below shall when used in this Chapter have the following meaning unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
(1) “Board of Examiners” and “Board” means the Louisiana State Board of Examiners for Sanitarians.
(2) “Sanitarian” means a person who possesses the necessary qualifications as recognized in this Chapter to carry out inspectional, educational, and investigational duties in the field of environmental sanitation, or who serves as a consultant, supervisor, or administrator of programs and personnel involving such duties.
(3) “Sanitarian trainee” means a person who possesses the necessary academic qualifications as recognized in this Chapter for licensing as a sanitarian, but who does not possess the required year of experience and training in sanitation.
