When a person entitled to benefits from the fund is covered by a workers’ compensation insurance policy or any other type of insurance policy paid for by the municipality or fire company, or is entitled to benefits under social security legislation, and receives benefits from the insurance policies or social security legislation equal to or greater than the benefits herein provided, he shall not receive any benefits from the fund.
