R.S. 30:137 through 141 are not intended in any way to derogate from or question the power and authority of the State Mineral and Energy Board to enter into any agreements of any type whatsoever pursuant to its power and authority heretofore expressly or impliedly granted by law; and the provisions hereof shall not modify in any way the right of any lessee or other party to invoke the rights and remedies available under existing laws.
