A. The Regional Museum Governing Board of the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum is hereby created in the Department of State.
B. The domicile of the board shall be the city of Shreveport.
C. The board shall be composed of the following members, all of whom shall have a knowledge of, and an interest in, art, history, including political history, and cultural restoration:
(1) Eleven members shall be appointed by the secretary of state.
(2) The secretary of state or his designee shall serve as a member.
(3) The state archivist shall serve as a member.
D. Each appointed member shall be confirmed by the Senate and shall serve a term concurrent with that of the secretary of state. Each member shall serve until his successor is appointed and takes office.
E. Members of the board shall serve without compensation.
