A. An individual who holds an adjuster license and who is not exempt pursuant to Subsection B of this Section shall satisfactorily complete a minimum of twenty-four hours of continuing education courses, including ethics, with at least two hours dedicated to the subject of legislative updates in insurance law, reported on a biennial basis in conjunction with the license renewal cycle.
B. This Section shall not apply to either of the following:
(1) An individual renewing an adjuster license for the first time after initial issuance.
(2) Licensees holding nonresident adjuster licenses who have met the continuing education requirements of their home states and whose home states give credit to residents of this state on the same basis.
C. Only continuing education courses approved by the commissioner shall satisfy the continuing education requirement of Subsection A of this Section.
