(1) Child support payments made pursuant to a court order shall be made through the state agency or an agency designated by the state agency to receive payments and paid to the Office of the Attorney General upon notice by the office to the court and the obligor that the child is a recipient of services pursuant to Title IV-D of the Social Security Act. 1
(2) Payment of support payments by the obligor directly to a child who is receiving public assistance after the obligor has been notified pursuant to subsection (1) of this section does not abate the obligor's support obligation to the Office of the Attorney General.
