Any solar energy system shall be and is hereby exempt from all property or ad valorem taxes levied under the laws of the state of Kansas. For the purposes of this section, the term “solar energy system” shall have the meaning ascribed thereto by K.S.A. 79-32,169 as in effect on June 30, 1980. The provisions of this section shall be applicable to all taxable years commencing after December 31, 1979, through December 31, 1985.
