(a) The state board of regents is hereby authorized and empowered, for and on behalf of Kansas state university, to sell and convey all of the rights, title and interest in the following described tracts of real estate, improvements thereon and easements, all located in Chase county, Kansas, which were received by Kansas state university as a bequest from the estate of Francis W. ImMasche and which are more particularly described as follows:
(1)TRACT 1.
A tract in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4 NW 1/4 ) of Section Fourteen (14), Township Nineteen (19) South of Range Nine (9) East of the 6th P.M. described as: beginning at the southwest corner of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter and running thence east on the south line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter a distance of 99 feet; thence north to the south boundary line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company (formerly K.C.M. and 0. Railway); thence southwesterly along said right of way to the west line of the said Northwest Quarter; thence south to the place of beginning Chase County, Kansas.
(2)TRACT 2.
The West One-half of the Northwest Quarter (W 1/2 NW 1/4 ) of Section Fifteen (15), Township Nineteen (19) South of Range Nine (9) East of the 6th P.M. lying north of the right of way of the county road (formerly U. S. Highway 50 South), except the right of way of U. S. Highway 50 along the north side thereof. Chase County, Kansas.
The East One-half of the Northwest Quarter (E 1/2 NW 1/4 ); the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4 ); all that part of the East One-half of the Southwest Quarter (E 1/2 SW 1/4 ) and the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4 ) lying north of the right of way of the county road (formerly U. S. Highway 50 South), all in Section Sixteen (16), Township Nineteen (19) South, Range Nine (9) East of the 6th P.M. Chase County, Kansas.
All that part of the East One-half of the Southwest Quarter (E 1/2 SW 1/4 ) of Section Sixteen (16), lying south of the right of way of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. Also, a tract in the West Half of the Southwest Quarter (W 1/2 SW 1/4 ) of said Section Sixteen (16) described as commencing at a point on the east line of the West One-half of said Southwest Quarter (W 1/2 SW 1/4 ) where that line intersects the south line of the right of way of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company, thence south 130 feet to a place of beginning; thence west 50 feet; thence south 200 feet; thence east 50 feet; thence north 200 feet to the place of beginning. All in Township Nineteen (19) South of Range Nine (9) East of the 6th P.M. Chase County, Kansas.
The East One-half of the West One-half (E 1/2 W 1/2 ) of Section Twenty-one (21), Township Nineteen (19) South of Range Nine (9) East of the 6th P.M. Chase County, Kansas.
(b) Conveyance of such rights, title and interest in such real estate, improvements thereon and easements, shall be in accordance with the procedures prescribed therefor by the state board of regents and shall be executed in the name of the state board of regents by its chairperson and executive officer. All proceeds from the sale of such real estate, improvements thereon and easements shall be deposited in the state treasury to the credit of the gifts account of the restricted fees fund of Kansas state university--extension systems and agriculture research programs.
(c) No conveyance of real estate, improvements thereon and easements authorized by this section shall be made or accepted by the state board of regents until the deeds, titles and conveyances have been reviewed and approved by the attorney general.
