From funds appropriated for that purpose, the city of Osawatomie shall be reimbursed by the state of Kansas for one-half ( 1/2 ) of the initial cost of installing new street lights and resurfacing the streets in the John Brown memorial park. In consideration therefor, the city of Osawatomie shall install said lights and resurface said streets, pay one-half ( 1/2 ) of the cost thereof and pay all future costs of maintaining and operating said park for the period of said lease.
