Upon receipt of a request to negotiate an existing gaming compact or a new gaming compact regarding sports wagering from a federally recognized Indian tribe pursuant to K.S.A. 46-2305, and amendments thereto, the governor shall submit notice of such request to the executive director. Upon receipt of such notice, the executive director shall enter into an agreement with the federally recognized Indian tribe that made such request for the operation and management of sports wagering by such tribe or any corporation, limited liability company or other business entity wholly owned by such tribe on behalf of the state of Kansas.
