The board of trustees of the Kansas public employees retirement system shall conduct
a study which shall be reported to the legislature at the beginning of the 1996 regular
session of the legislature. The study shall be conducted to determine and analyze the effects of converting the
systems administered by the board of trustees from defined benefit plans to defined
contribution plans with respect to current or future state employee members of such
systems, or both.
