This act shall be known and may be cited as the Kansas commemorative coin design concept
act. The purpose of the act is to provide a means whereby the state through cooperation
of its governor, arts community and, to the extent possible, high school students
selects the design concepts and recommends the final design of the quarter dollar
that is emblematic of the state of Kansas, its history, geography and rich heritage
for submission to the United States secretary of the treasury in accordance with the
50 states commemorative coin program act (P.L. 105-124).
