The board of education of unified school district No. 475, Geary county, is hereby authorized to transfer a tract of land described as part of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4 ) of section 1, township 12 south, range 6 east, Geary county, Kansas, and further described as follows: Beginning at a point where the center line of a now existing county road center line intersects the east line of section 1, township 12 south, range 6 east of the sixth principal meridian, said point being approximately 902 feet north of the southeast corner of said section 1; thence north 52 degrees 18′40″ west on said road center line, a distance of 401.50 feet to the point of beginning; thence north 52 degrees 18′40″ west on said center line, a distance of 50.50 feet; thence following said center line on a curve to the right with a radius of 2721.20 feet an arc distance of 166 feet; thence north 41 degrees 11′3″ east, a distance of 203.32 feet; thence south 52 degrees 18′40″ east, a distance of 204.01 feet; thence south 37 degrees 41′20″ west, a distance of 208 feet to the point of beginning, containing one acre, more or less, together with the structures thereon, to Wingfield township of Geary county for a community center.
Such transfer may be made by the board of education in consideration of $5 and upon such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon by both parties. The provisions of K.S.A. 72-3216 shall not apply to the transaction authorized by this section. The transfer authorized by this section shall be made by quitclaim deed.
