Any operator who reports emergency medical services information, in good faith, and in accordance with the requirements of this act and the rules and regulations prescribed by the board, shall have immunity from any liability, civil or criminal, which might otherwise be incurred or imposed in an action resulting from such information. Nothing in this section shall be construed to apply to the unauthorized disclosure of confidential information when such disclosure is due to gross negligence or willful misconduct.
