Every violation of any of the provisions of this act shall subject the person, firm, partnership or corporation violating the same to a penalty of not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) for each violation or by imprisonment not to exceed six (6) months in the county jail, or both, and any violation or violations in the name of a corporation shall subject the corporation to a forfeiture of its charter.
