The provisions of this act shall not affect the term of any member of the state board of education elected to represent a district at the general election of 2020 or the term of any successor to such member serving for an unexpired term. All such members shall continue to serve the districts from which elected until such members elected from the districts established by this act commence their terms of office in January of 2025.
