It shall be the duty of the secretary of state to place a copy of any such concurrent resolution in the hands of every county election officer and such officer shall cause such resolution to be printed, posted and distributed as required by law. The cost and expenses connected therewith shall be paid in the same manner as the cost for printing the ballots.
