Subject to the limitations of article 44 of chapter 25 of Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto, the board of county commissioners and the county election officer of any county are authorized to purchase, lease or rent and use electronic or electromechanical voting systems or electronic poll books as provided by K.S.A. 25-4403, and amendments thereto.
