Whenever it may not be practicable to have new ballots printed, it shall be the duty of the county election officer and election boards to place the name so supplied for the vacancy upon each ballot issued before delivering it to the voter; the name so supplied may be placed upon the ballots either by affixing a paster or by writing or stamping the name upon the ballot; and to enable this to be done, the officer with whom the certificates of nominations are to be filed shall immediately furnish the name of such substituted nominee to all county election officers within the territory in which such nominee is a candidate, and the county election officer shall inform the supervising judges thereof.
