Each county treasurer shall submit each year to the governing body of every city, all or any part of the territory of which is located in the county, a report listing the amounts allocated or paid to each such city during the year, itemized according to the source of moneys distributed. Such report shall be made and submitted by transmission to the clerks of the cities within forty-five (45) days after the end of the calendar year, on forms prescribed by the director of accounts and reports for the purpose.
