If the board and the owner of any real property desired by the board for hospital purposes cannot agree as to the price to be paid therefor, the board shall report the facts to the commission and condemnation proceedings may be instituted by the commission in the manner prescribed by article 5 of chapter 26 of Kansas Statutes Annotated.
