The county park board may select and appoint a park superintendent and his term of office shall be during the pleasure of said board. He shall manage and control the district under the general supervision of said board. The superintendent shall perform all other duties as may be prescribed by the district board, shall give a good and sufficient surety company bond to the park district in a sum to be fixed and approved by the board, conditioned upon the faithful performance of his duties, the actual cost of said bond shall be paid out of the funds of the park district.
