Kansas Statutes Chapter 19. Counties and County Officers § 19-2835. Cooperation with department of wildlife and parks

The board of county commissioners of any such county shall have the right to aid, assist, furnish and pay for a part or the whole of any real estate or property or constructing the whole or a part of any dam or construction work deemed by them necessary or proper in the aiding or assisting the Kansas department of wildlife and parks in the acquisition of a lake, park and recreational site or sites and in the construction of dams, lakes and reservoirs or construction work thereon, so as to insure the completion of a lake, park or recreational grounds in such county. The control and direction of the construction work shall be as determined by the board of county commissioners and the department should the department be in whole or in part interested in such project as such. The title to such real estate or part of such real estate as may be paid for exclusively by such board of county commissioners shall be taken in the name of the county or in the name of the state of Kansas, as the board of county commissioners and the department may agree, but the real estate paid for exclusively by the county shall revert to the county should such project ever be abandoned as a park or recreational project.
