The secretary of state, or his assistants or examiners, may make examinations or audits as provided in K.S.A. 17-1312a. For such purpose the secretary of state, his assistants and examiners, are authorized to administer oaths and to examine under oath the directors, officers, employees and agents of any cemetery corporation. Such examination may be reduced to writing by the person making it and may contain a statement of the condition of each permanent maintenance fund examined.
