Sec. 20. (a) This section applies after June 30, 2024.
(b) This section applies only to fees, penalties, and fines described in this chapter that are collected by the department of state revenue pursuant to IC 9-18.1-13-2.
(c) For any portion of fees, penalties, or fines collected by the department that require deposit into the commission fund, the department shall instead deposit a certain amount of that portion into the motor carrier regulation fund established by IC 8-2.1-23-1 as follows:
(1) For the speed title fee imposed pursuant to section 13.5 of this chapter, twenty-five dollars ($25) shall be deposited in the motor carrier regulation fund.
(2) For the title fee imposed pursuant to section 14.5 of this chapter, two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) shall be deposited in the motor carrier regulation fund, and two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) shall be deposited in the commission fund.
(d) Except as provided in subsection (c), all other distributions shall be deposited as required by the provisions of this chapter.
