Sec. 7. The commission shall do the following:
(1) Plan and develop activities that are appropriate to commemorate the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
(2) Encourage and assist:
(A) state agencies (as defined in IC 4-13-1-1);
(B) units of local government; and
(C) private organizations within Indiana;
in coordinating, organizing, and participating in activities that commemorate the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
(3) Work to create a legacy that elevates the contributions of women and men with a connection to Indiana who were instrumental or otherwise played a role in the process of ratifying the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
(4) Commission the creation of a suitable monument to the people of Indiana active in the women's suffrage movement and the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
