Sec. 8. (a) A law enforcement agency that employs an affected law enforcement officer may not:
(1) demote;
(2) suspend;
(3) terminate; or
(4) impose discipline upon;
a law enforcement officer because the law enforcement officer's name was placed on a Giglio list.
(b) A law enforcement officer may be subject to discipline, demotion, suspension, or termination if the facts underlying the reason for placement on a Giglio list are established in a disciplinary proceeding.
