Sec. 1. (a) Whenever in any court proceeding an order is in force for the support and maintenance of the other party to the proceeding, the individual required to pay the support shall pay the support.
(b) The clerk, if the payment is in cash, or the state central collection unit, for all forms of payment, shall collect from the individual, in addition to the payments, the annual support fee specified in IC 33-37-5-6.
(c) The clerk may collect any unpaid annual support fee that was due prior to January 1, 2011, through any lawful means.
(d) The state central collection unit may collect any unpaid annual support fee due after December 31, 2010, through any lawful means.
(e) The clerk or state central collection unit may contract with a collection agency licensed under IC 25-11 to collect past due annual support fees described in subsections (c) and (d).
