Sec. 12. A person who:
(1) enters active military service of the United States or of this state:
(A) in time of war or an emergency;
(B) for or during a period of training; or
(C) in connection with or under the operation of a system of selective service; and
(2) at the time of entry holds a valid license as a registered barber; shall be granted a similar certificate of registration or license upon presenting to the board a discharge from military service under conditions other than conditions set forth in IC 10-17-12-7.5(2), dated not more than six (6) months before the time of the presentation. The similar certificate or license shall be granted by the board upon payment of a fee established by the board.
