Sec. 3. A registration certificate for a professional surveyor may be issued only to a natural person. A partnership, firm, or corporation doing business in Indiana may not be engaged in the practice of surveying unless the practice is carried on under the responsible direction and supervision of a professional surveyor who is a full-time employee and a principal of the firm or partnership or an officer of the corporation. The name of the registrant must appear when the firm name is used in the professional practice of the firm, partnership, or corporation. Any surveys, plans, sheets of designs, specifications, or other documents requiring certification that are prepared by the personnel of any partnership, firm, or corporation must carry the signature and seal of the professional surveyor who was responsible for and in charge of the surveying work.
